Wales is home to some of the finest roads in the United Kingdom. Wales is also home to some of the finest luxury country house hotels and three of these have teamed up; Bodysgallen Hall, Llangoed Hall and Ynyshir Hall.
These three hotels are all located in unique locations connected on land by wonderful roads with stunning backdrops.
Standing in over 200 acres of its own parkland to the south of Llandudno with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle, Bodysgallen Hall is North Wales’ finest hotel. Believed to have 13th century origins, Bodysgallen Hall provides all that is best in country house hospitality and is part of the National Trust. Bodysgallen Hall was AA Hotel of the Year, Wales 2012-2013 before this was awarded to Llangoed Hall.
AA Hotel of the Year, Wales 2013-2014, Llangoed Hall was completely refurbished in 2013 and today features elements by Laura Ashley. The former owner Sir Bernard Ashley, husband of Laura Ashley created a home-from-home feeling at this hotel which dates back to 1632. Adorning the walls are truly outstanding collections of paintings, drawings and various pieces of fine art including artists such as Whistler, Herman Dudley Murphy and James Cowie.
Wales’ only Relais & Chateaux hotel was once Queen Victoria’s holiday home. In 2014 it was awarded a Michelin star once again and was also awarded AA Hotel of the Year, Wales 2014-2015. The hotel is located within walking distance of the RSPB reserve where the BBC filmed Springwatch. Each of the 10 bedrooms & suites is named after an artist and the hotel is co-owned by an artist. With an 12 year Michelin star history, this is a foodie paradise.
